LEVEL B COVID-19 Development Session Attendance

As part of the Association's development policy, we welcome all members to attend development sessions.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had devastating effects on communities globally, leading to significant restrictions on all sectors of society, including sport. Resumption of sport can significantly contribute to the re-establishment of normality in Australian society. The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), in consultation with the NRL has developed a framework to inform the resumption of sport

Preparation for resumption includes education of the athletes and other personnel, assessment of the sport environment and agreement on training scheduling to accommodate social distancing.

All participants and volunteers with mobile phone access are encouraged to download the COVID Safe App

Individuals must NOT attend Rugby League venues if in the past 14 days if they:

  • Have been unwell or experienced cold and flu like symptoms
  • Have been in contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19
  • Have experienced respiratory symptoms (even mild)
  • Are considered high risk, including the elderly and those with pre-existing medical conditions

LEVEL B restrictions will apply where:

  • Activities are limited to 20 people with a 4m2 spacing for individuals
  • Sharing of sporting equipment is permitted
  • Training is non contact although accidental contact may occur
  • 'Get in, train and get out' will apply at JF O'Grady Memorial Park, the use of change rooms showers is not permissible, best to arrive at training already prepared
  • Hand hygiene (hand sanitisers) will be available on entry and exit to venues, as well as pre, post and during training
  • All participates will be required to undertake a full show body shower with soap at home after training
  • All people including spectators are to maintain distance of at least 1.5m while training
  • No sharing of water bottles or whistles is to occur. All equipment will be sanitized after use

    The association reserves the right to stop any individual from attending if numbers exceed the LEVEL B restrictions or the individual shows symptoms or has been potentially exposed to COVID-19.
